Formation and Training
Graduate of St. John's Preparatory School (USA) 1977, member of National Honor Society. Chemical engineering at Tufts University (USA) and Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) 1977-1980. Food Engineering at University of Massachusetts (USA), 1980-1982. Prior to his nomination to his current post as manager, he has worked over 20 years as a independant consultant in international technology transfer, licensing and trading. During this period he was responsible for the creation of numerous strategic alliances and joint ventures in the fields of medical devices and diagnostics, some of which resulted in the formation of new companies. Most recently, he participated as the Switzerland envoy to the 2002 Japan External Trade Relations Organization (JETRO) Export to Japan Study Program (EJSP).
